Suffolk-based classic car restoration company Bridge Classic Cars is set to spread festive joy by delivering mince pies to four local care homes in a convoy of vintage vehicles this Thursday.
Why it matters: Following the success of last year's event, the initiative aims to combat loneliness and bring some joy and nostalgia to care home residents during the festive season.

The details:
Bridge Classic Cars will embark on their second annual Mince Pie Drive on Friday 5 December
The convoy will visit four care homes: Henley House, The Willows, Silver Birch, and Haughgate House
A special display will be held at Christchurch Mansion between 12:00 and 13:00
The team will distribute mince pies to staff and residents at each location
What they're saying: "It's such a special thing to be a part of," says Molly Harmer, Bridge Classic Cars presenter. "Seeing people's faces light up when the cars arrive or when they take a bite of a mince pie - it's a reminder of how important little acts of kindness can be."
The big picture: The Mince Pie Drive is part of a broader initiative to encourage community kindness throughout the year, not just during the Christmas season.
The bottom line: The festive initiative combines classic cars and Christmas treats to bring joy to care home residents, building on the success of last year's event.
