Train services from Ipswich to London have been cancelled this morning due to a fallen tree damaging overhead wires, causing significant disruption.

Rail passengers from Ipswich have been advised not to travel to London due to severe disruption caused by a fallen tree.

Greater Anglia has cancelled all trains between Ipswich and London Liverpool Street on Tuesday morning after the tree damaged overhead wires between Norwich and Diss. Services are expected to be cancelled until at least 9:30 am.

A statement from Greater Anglia urged passengers to avoid travel between Norwich and Diss, stating: "Train services between Liverpool Street and Norwich are subject to delays, alterations, and cancellations owing to a tree damaging electrical overhead wires between Diss and Norwich. Network Rail staff are on site to carry out repairs, but there are no timescales for reopening."
