The restoration of Ipswich's historic Broomhill Pool has secured an additional £10,000 in funding from NW Ipswich Big Local Trust. The grant will support ongoing plans to revive the Grade II listed lido.
Plans to restore Ipswich's Grade II listed Broomhill Lido have been approved by the council. The 1930s outdoor swimming pool, which has been derelict since 2002, is set to reopen in summer 2026.
Ipswich residents will have a final opportunity to explore the iconic Broomhill Lido before its £10.25 million restoration begins during the Heritage Open Days event on 14-15 September 2024.
