Luca Silvestrini's critically acclaimed dance company Protein brings this timeless story to life through an innovative blend of dance, humour and spoken word. Winner of the Fantastic for Families' Best Family Event Award 2020, this production transforms Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's philosophical masterpiece into a spectacular visual feast.

What to expect

The show follows our young hero as he abandons his tiny asteroid home and precious rose to explore the universe, meeting an array of peculiar grown-ups along the way, including:

  • A mysterious snake

  • A wise and friendly fox

  • A king who reigns over nothing

  • A businessman obsessed with counting stars

  • The lone pilot who helps him understand the true meaning of friendship

School performances

Special school shows run from Tuesday 10th to Thursday 12th December, with tickets at £7 per student and a free teacher place for every 10 students booked.

Public performances

Family shows run from Friday 13th to Sunday 15th December at DanceEast's home on the Ipswich Waterfront.
