Hintlesham Hall Hotel & Spa, a historic Grade I listed Elizabethan property in Suffolk, is on the market for £7.5 million.

The property has a rich ownership history, including chef Robert Carrier OBE and cookery writer and hotelier Ruth Watson, who utilised the hall in various shows.

Current owner Has Modi expressed mixed emotions about the sale, stating, "Whilst it is, of course, sad to be selling a business with which we have been involved for many years, now is the right time. The business is well-positioned with value enhancement opportunities for a new owner. Most importantly, we would like to thank the staff, with whom we have shared this memorable journey, for their hard work and dedication over the years."

The hotel, known for its appearances on programmes such as Carrier & Friends, Carrier's Kitchen, The Hotel Inspector, and Country House Rescue, features 32 ensuite bedrooms and a spa.

Additionally, it has planning permission for a self-contained function suite and listed building consent for an enhanced spa area at the rear of the coach house.

Notably, the sale does not include Hintlesham Golf Club, which operates as a separate business.
