'Magical moment' as hearing impaired children teach Easter Bunny to sign

Children at an Ipswich primary school's Hearing Impairment Unit turned the tables on their special visitor, teaching the Easter Bunny British Sign Language during a heartwarming visit.

The details: Local hearing company All About Hearing  joined forces with the Easter Bunny to visit Rushmere Hall Primary School in Ipswich at the start of the new term.

Children in the school's Hearing Impairment Unit (HIU) decorated their own Easter Bunny characters, filling the classroom with bright and colourful creations.

What they're saying: Karen Finch , Co-Director and Lead Audiologist at All About Hearing, thanked the pupils for their creativity with chocolate Easter eggs. "It was a truly heartwarming experience," she said. "The children were so enthusiastic and proud of their artwork, and watching them teach the Easter Bunny to sign was just magical."

We're so grateful to Jo and the incredible team at Rushmere Hall for the work they do every day to support and empower hearing-impaired and deaf children. It was a real privilege to be welcomed into their classroom and to share in such a joyful event.

For context: All About Hearing helps people improve their hearing health through comprehensive testing, fitting cutting-edge hearing aid technology, and carrying out safe and effective earwax removal. The company has hearing care clinics in Ipswich, Framlingham and Woodbridge.

The bottom line: The special visit highlighted the importance of inclusivity and community support for children with hearing impairments while bringing joy and a positive start to the new school term.
