Our journey so far: Ipswich.co.uk celebrates 37,000 visitors in its second month

Company

When I launched Ipswich.co.uk two months ago, I never imagined we'd come so far so quickly. Today, I'm thrilled to share our remarkable progress: tens of thousands of readers, a thriving daily newsletter, and a growing community by the day.

September's highlights

Here's a snapshot of our achievements last month:

  • 162 articles published – an average of 8 per weekday

  • 36,900 visitors to our site

  • 2,400 subscribers to our daily roundup

  • 21 editions of our daily roundup, read 17,500 times

  • 60,300 people were reached by our content on Facebook

These numbers reflect not just a ton of hard work but also the incredible response from our community.

I'm especially proud of the engagement with our daily roundup, which has quickly become the go-to local news source for many of you. Last month, we sent over 28,800 emails and averaged a 60% open rate.

Coming soon: Ipswich's most comprehensive community events board

Looking ahead, I'm excited to announce the upcoming launch of our events platform, which will include a comprehensive listing of every live music act from the brilliant Brighten the Corners .

But that's not all—we want to showcase your events, too!

There is far more going on in Ipswich than people realise, but many events rely solely on Facebook for promotion. We want to change that.

Whether you're organising and promoting gigs, festivals, fundraisers, or clubs, we're here to help promote them.

Stay tuned for more details on how to get your events featured.

A final thank you

We couldn't have achieved this growth without you.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who has subscribed to our roundup, helped spread the word, or engaged with our content on social media.

As we continue to grow, I kindly ask for your continued support in sharing our content and telling others about us. Together, we're building a vibrant community centered around the things you care about.

Thank you for being part of our journey. Stay tuned for more updates, and don't forget to keep an eye out for our new events platform!
