Scott Matthews' debut album 'Passing Stranger' blended folk, rock, blues and Eastern influences, earning critical acclaim. His single 'Elusive' won the 2007 Ivor Novello Award for 'Best Song Musically and Lyrically'. He toured internationally with artists including Rufus Wainwright, Bert Jansch, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss.
His second album 'Elsewhere' featured Robert Plant, while his third, 'What The Night Delivers', included bassist Danny Thompson, whom he met performing Nick Drake songs in 'Way to Blue'.
'New Skin' showcased influences from Brian Eno to Bruce Springsteen, garnering praise from Robert Plant, Radiohead's Ed O'Brien and BBC 6Music. It merged rock, ambient, acoustic and electronic elements, marking Matthews' most energised and fresh sound to date.
