A woman arrested on suspicion of murdering William "Billy" McNicholl has been released on conditional bail. She must return to police on 09 April while detectives continue their enquiries.

Why it matters: The development comes just one day after the arrest, as police continue their investigation into Mr McNicholl's death at his Hawthorn Drive home.

  • The woman, aged in her 50s, was questioned at Martlesham Police Investigation Centre

  • She was arrested on Saturday, 11 January

  • She has been released with conditions

  • She must return to police on 09 April

Suffolk Police are seeking public assistance to locate 38-year-old Ipswich man Dale Davidson who disappeared this morning.

Dale was wearing navy blue jogging bottoms with white stripe and a blue coat with a fur hood when he went missing. He was last seen leaving his home address in Ipswich at around 7am.

Anyone who has seen Dale or knows of his whereabouts is asked to contact Suffolk Police on 101.
